Take care, and even be ware of those who are after your money.


        


      Would you like me to give you a practical piece of advice? Well, here it is. Never listen to those salesmen who are always there wearing their uniform, and keeping an eye on you, and pretending they are there to help you. 
         
         Do not ever listen to them. They have been put there to get as much money from you as they can. They are cheaters.

            

          It was on that day when I had been to Jarir Bookstore where I bought a whiteboard, and some markers for it. I did my best to help myself, and not to call them for it. However I had to do when I requested them to bring me a bigger one. They went and came back with it. 

          

          And here they started what they are known for: collecting money from the people in a very rude way. "You must now get some markers for the board. Here, these are the best. Take these, and also you should get a rubber, a magnetic one, since the whiteboard is also magnetic."

       
          When I was back with the markers, and that magnetic rubber, and as the days went by, I have found that I stopped using it to clean the board, and started using my tissue papers instead. And I started hating those markers as well. I have come to know that there was one which I selected it myself which is more better than those they selected for me. 
         
           I can also say the same about my visit to Marks and Spencer in Abu Dhabi Marina Mall. Luckily, the salesman selection to me was just an informal T-shirt and a pair of pants. 

       The reason that really triggered my writing is that I was just using my whiteboard, with that magnetic rubber just stuck to the bottom left corner of it with no use, and was replaced by some tissue papers instead.

 السلام عليكم ،  في لحظات الحياة العسيرة ، تجد نفسك عاجزا عن معالجة ما يحدث ، ثم تظل تفكر في اعتبارات عديدة ، وتتساءل ماذا أنا فاعل ؟ وفي تلك الأثناء ، وبينما تحاصرك الهموم والأفكار ، وفي خضم ذلك الصراع ، تبقي حائرا علي من تضع اللوم.  هل تلوم نفسك ، وتؤنبها ؟ أم تحنو عليها وترفق بها ؟  هل تصارحها بالحقيقة ؟ أم تغمض عينيك عنها ؟ لكن أية حقيقة ؟  أليس من الممكن أن تكون أحيانا ظالما لها وجائرا عليها ؟ أليس من المحتمل أن تكون بذلك تحملها أكثر من طاقتها ؟  ألا يكون من العقل والمنطق أن تضع الأمور في نصابها ، وتفكر بشكل إيجابي ؟ هل يمكن أن يكون مفيدا أن أكون حبيسا للماضي ؟  هل ينبغي أن أستسلم لذلك الموقف ، وأن أدعه يتحكم بي ، ويجعلني مكسورالخاطر ، ومجروح الكبرياء؟ علي الإطلاق ، لا يمكن لذلك أن يكون .  في أحلك الظروف واللحظات التي تمر بها ، عليك أن تتماسك ، وتثق في الله عز وجل ، وفي نفسك .  تماسكك لا يعني شيئا سوي ثقتك في الله وفي نفسك ، وعكس ذلك يعني أنك فاقد لها .  في لحظات العسر والشدة يكون كل الخير ، والله عز وجل بذلك لا يريد إلا الخير ....

التقليل من الإنفاق ، وتخصيص المزيد من الوقت للأكثر نفعا

بينما أنا جالس صباح ذلك اليوم ، أقوم بتنزيل ملفات تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية للطلبة الفرنسيين ، كانت الموسيقي تعمل في الخلفية ، ومعها  تتناوب الذكريات علي عقلي وفكري ، فتجلد مع حضورها كل حواسي بلا هواده  من بينها تلك المواقف التي مرت علي منذ بدأت العمل مع مستشفي الرويس. ومع كل لحظة من شغلها لذلك الحيز من تفكيري ، يصيبني الهم والحزن والقلق ، لا لشيئ إلا علي ما قد يكون لذلك من عواقب علي حياتي ، وأيضا علي أهلي : أمي وأبي وإخوتي ، وكذلك علي  صورتي أمام نفسي  .ما أرجوه و أتمني أن يتحقق هو أن أقوم بتسديد ما علي من ديون ، وساعتها لا يهمني ما سيحدث ، أيا ما كان المهم الآن بالنسبة لي هو أن أكون بلا دين ، وأن أبدأ بأسرع ما يمكن لتحقيق ذلك . في نفس الوقت علي أن أقوم بعمل نوع من الموازنة  بين ما أقوم بإنفاقة هنا ، وبين ما سأرسله إلي مصر ، بالإضافة إلي ذلك الجزء الذي سيتم تخصيصه لسد ذلك الدين المستحق  وللتمكن من الوصول إلي ذلك الهدف ، فيمكنني العمل علي التقليل من إنفاقي هنا علي قدر المستطاع . إذ إنه من خلال ذلك يمكنني أن أصنع الفارق بكل تأكيد أعلم أن ذلك سيكون تحديا ، ولكنن...

First session of a 12-month-MBA Program - Financial management - SBS, Abu Dhabi

Here, I am going to write about what was the first meeting hosted by Microsoft Teams, and what was in fact the first session in an MBA program conducted by SBS, Abu Dhabi.  The lecturer was Dr. Faisal, and the session was about financial management. He started by introducing himself, and quickly kicked off by defining what business is.  He first asked the participants to see if any could give an answer, and then went ahead and gave his own. He said that a business is an organized legal activity that provide goods and services, and which makes a profit.  Businesses should be legal, and generating a profit.
